I’d Love you For Less All these things I love in you, You think I’m obsessed But if I couldn’t see the things I see, I’d Love you for Less. I’d love you for less, Id love you for less, I’d love you for less, I’d love you for less. My mistakes are noted now, I want something more Took my time to stand again, I was on the floor. I must remember this always, My demons by the door. Cos I would like to see you grow Your eyes show me much more. Round, round, reason, reason, summer is my favourite season Oh, it is my favourite season. Favourite Season, Because of you, you you, All because of you, you, you All because of you, you you. Say so much spill out my words, they hurt sometimes I know, It’s best to sing this melody before I have to go. Each time I leave I feel no fear, I wipe away the tears. If only time wouldn’t be so slow, it feels like fucking years. Cos All these things I love in you, You think I’m obsessed But if I couldn’t see the things I see, I’d Love you for Less. I’d love you for less, Id love you for less, I’d love you for less I’d Love you for less.

Missed 04:15
With this Stamp you can see All the thousand threads of me Look close you might see The tears of elder company With this stamp you can see the sturdy little bones of me Look close you might see The tears of elder company So carry me cross the water Ashore the final border Carry me cross the water And wrap me around in your wool. If only I had bathed your bones in water warmer than this If only I had stolen your fears and cleared them up with a kiss If only just for moment If only I'd known for a moment I'd have stood on the rocks for longer To see if I saw you through mist. So carry me cross the water Ashore the final border Carry me cross the water And wrap me around in your wool. Clarity comes and goes But on this rock I hold The green and blue is gold But on this rock I show So carry me cross the water Ashore the final border Carry me cross the water And wrap me around in your wool.

Apologies 04:15
You gave me something to believe in Who knew, so soon, I’d be leaving Terror took over, deceiving me, I miss you my love You gave me room that I could breathe in, Holding hands, and the cuddles that we squeezed in. My poor distracted mind enveloping me, I miss you my love I never felt that I was worthy, Yet you felt, you were never good enough for me, A tangled web of insecurities, I miss you my love You never fought, never talked me down, You moved away, lived way out of town, Life was so hectic, in my chaos I drowned, I miss you my love You’re too afraid that I would leave you, In my heart, I was convinced, you would leave me too A cruel self fulfilling prophecy, I miss you my love I laid myself at your feet, disregard my pride and my dignity. I fear that friends we will never be, come back to me my love I give a thousand heartfelt apologies, Please come back to me, my love

Breathe 04:41
Whilst you're sleeping machines do the breathing just stay away from the light and if you get tired and death comes prowling, you look him straight in the eye... And you tell him loud, and you tell him clear, it's not your turn yet, it wouldn't be fair and you tell him that we love you, and you're staying right here You've far too much living to do Whilst you're sleeping the drip stands beeping a web of wires incarcerates you atracurium, noradrenaline, metronidazole and tazocin, course their way through... And you always taught me, that things are worth trying now organ donation and drg sampling I know you're still in there, and I know that you're fighting You've far too much living to do Whilst you're sleeping, concentrate on healing just breathe, please keep breathing The one in, one out policy hasn't gone unnoticed More bodybags and anguish than wheelchairs in this place... And you tell him loud, and you tell him clear, you're not going with him, it wouldn't be fair, and you tell him that we love you, you're staying right here, You've far too much living to do

Look alive 03:44
We are chess pieces, ebony and ivory We have brains that work neurodivergently We are trying our best to defeat the patriarchy We can learn to communicate effectively We are symbiotic green plant and tree We will draft the same shapes but in different hughes We will dance in hold to fight away the blues Wherever I go you follow, Wherever I go you follow Look alive, look alive, look alive, look alive We are cigarettes and tapping knees We are restless babbling brook and bubbling stream We are a complex mix of vulnerabilities We will say the same thing in different ways Wherever I go you follow, Wherever I go you follow Look alive, look alive, look alive, look alive Look alive, look alive, look alive, look alive Hannah Bridge: It’s hard come together when you stand and throw it back at me, but everything you’re talking will complete this little harmony We can make better choices We can rearrange our voices We can change our perspective We can try as a collective x2 We can forge a path that leads me right back to you

Brain bath 04:34
I have a friend now She's holding me.

I missed the mark there I broke your heart there And when I did it I felt a little lost myself So what's the point then? In being a mess when Seeing you smiling Is the best part of every weekend Ooh Catching all your kisses Ooh Holding you in places I don't want do miss this Cause I have got a head ache just from looking at you I have got a head ache just from looking at you You tried to label and organise things To make it nicer After all we're gonna be here some time A crumpled paper, folded over You started running darling Before you had the breath to begin I know you miss them It's more than distance I wish I could fix this I would take everyone of them out. I'm trying to channel love over doubt. Ooh Catching all your kisses Holding you in places I don't want do miss this Cos I have got a head ache just from looking at you I have got a head ache just from looking at you

Communion 02:11
Our tribe will meet at witching hour pilgrimage to the alter we'll commune with the Muses tell them of our scrapes and bruises and we'll all sing in unison cos this is our communion We've sang ourselves to sleep through crushing loss and grief in celebration and in ecstasy round campfires on the beach and we'll all sing in unison cos this is our communion spoken word: a healing ritual euphoria and weeping the whole crowd wearing purple the speakers are our steeples I cannot wait to join you in communion feel vibrations in our chests warm light comfort on our skin and the melody moves us and we all sing in unison cos this is our communion

about

We wrote these songs at a time when we didn't know if live performances would ever be possible again.

Initially, we sent voicenotes back and forth to each other, to lift our spirits. We built little soundbooths in the cupboards of our respective flats in Glasgow's Southside, and wrote this album together remotely.

We wrote and arranged, DIY recorded and mixed almost all of the parts ourselves in lockdown and produced it ourselves. A voyage of self discovery, but most of all, of friendship.

WAVES gave us comfort when we needed it and we hope it can do that for you now.

big hugs, CLR theory

“CLR theory effortlessly blends complexity with natural simplicity... for those who need to feel there’s something bigger than the individual in life, and that by coming together, especially through song,
life seems a bit easier” Andy Reilly Snack Magazine

"Beautiful and evocative" BBC Scotland Record of Note, Roddy Hart

"A record about healing, about finding strength in community: a record about surviving" Zoe White, Snack Magazine

"There’s a spectral energy to it, it's so alive...the album is like a warm sonic hug but it’s more than that, it’s spellbinding. It feels truly honest and raw and emotive." Jill Lorean, BBC Scotland

"musical magic from a band who connect with their audience like few others do" Alistair Braidwood, Scots Whay Hae! Camglen Radio
